Il giardinetto del Paradiso was founded in 2001 and performs at present time with recorder, lute, bass vio and harpsichord.

                                         The ensemble's repertoire includes polyphonic renaissance music and virtuosic high baroque music.

                                         The music of past centuries is brought to life by the ensemble's high precision, its virtuous achievemensts and vivid presentation.

                                         The ensemble looks back on successful cooperations with several shilled guest soloists.

                                          "Il Giardinetto del Paradiso" plays a well-established role in popular concert series both in Germany and abroad and works on CD

                                          productions with record labels in Germany and South Korea.

                                          The ensemble's name "Il Giardinetto del Paradiso" is inspired by Stephan Lochner's pictures "Maria im Paradiesgarten" and

                                          "Die Muttergottes in der Rosenlaube" whereon angels are presented with different musical instruments, amongst others a lute.

                                          The name "Il giardinetto del Paradiso" means Paradisiac garden"

 

 

 

 

Programmes

 

 

                                            Kaung-Ae Lee (harpsichord and art director) was born in South Korea. She studied the harpsichord with Prof. Ketil Haugsand

                                            at the Hochschule für Musik Köln and graduated with distinction. After that, she studied chamber music for Early Music with

                                            Prof. Konrad Junghänel and recieved a degree.

                                            She completed hergaduate recital as a soloist with Prof. Christian Rieger at the Folkwang Hochschule Essen.

                                            Kaung-Ae Lee made her debut as a soloist on the CD "Cembalo fever". She contributed to several baroque festivals and performs

                                            both as asoloist and a continuo player in Germany and abroad.

 

 

                                            Annette Padberg (recorder) attended a grammar school with special emphasis on the instruction in arts and music.

                                            She studied the recorder with Prof. Ulrike Volkhard at the Folkwang Hochschule Essen and completed her degree with her

                                            graduate recital.

                                            She supplemented her studies in courses with Kees Boeke and Walter van Hauwe.

                                            She performs in different chamber music ensembles and is an experiencedorchenstra musician and soloist.

                                            She performed during the world premieres of worksby Anna Ikramova, Christian Börsing and Gordon Kampe.

                                            As a soloist and together with "Il giardinetto del Paradiso" she contributed to the CD "Folkwang Recorders"

 

 

                                            Gudrun Fuß (viol) is a multiple awardwinner in the federal competition "Jugend Musiziert".

                                            She studied bass viol with Prof. Heiner Spicker and later with Prof. Wieland Kuijken at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel.

                                            She graduated as a "Meesterin Muziek". She took part in numerous master classes and she performs as amember of several

                                            chamber music ensembles both in Germany and abroad.

                                            Since 1998 she teaches at the Hochschule für Musik Köln (location Wuppertal).

 

 

                                            Zorro Zin (lute, theorbe and baroque guitar) was born in South Korea andstudied the lute with Yasunori Imamura at the

                                            Musikhochschule Frankfurt am Main and with Stephan Rath at the Folkwang Hochschule Essen.

                                            For his studies of chamber music for Early Music with Prof. Konrad Junghänel at the Hochschule für Musik Köln he was

                                            awarded the graduate recital. Zorro Zin contributed to numerous opera productions and performs as a soloist and

                                            continuo player both in Germany and abroad.
